People with Down syndrome (DS) have deficits in social skills involving friendship relations, academic life, dating, among others. However, there is a shortage of studies that involve the perception of the person with DS in relation to their social skills. In this sense, the objective of this research was to develop an instrument of social skills evaluation capable of assessing the perception of the person with DS, as well as to verify the repertoire of social skills of people with DS from the perception of their parents and close people.
