Gambaran Status Refraksi Penderita Ambliopia Refraktif di Poli Mata RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang Tahun 2017

Amblyopia is the term used for reduced best-corrected visual acuity that is not caused by anatomical or visual pathway abnormality and is the most common cause of reduced vision in children. The most common cause of amblyopia is uncorrected refractive error. This research aimed to determine the refractive errors in refractive amblyopia patients in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital, Padang year 2017. This research was a retrospective descriptive study using secondary data from the medical records. The subject of this research was all refractive amblyopia patients in Ophthalmology Clinic of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang Year 2017 that fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The total sample was 54 patients. The results of this research showed that patients above 8 years old (59,2%) were more commonly found and there were more male patients (55,6%) than females. Isoametropic amblyopia (59,2%) was more common than anisometropic amblyopia (48,2%). The most common type of refractive error that caused isoametropic amblyopia was astigmatism 2.00-<3.00 D (46,8%). The majority of patients suffering from anisometropic amblyopia were caused by astigmatism 1.00-<2.00 D (59,0%). Mild amblyopia (53,4%) was more commonly found in patients than moderate and severe amblyopia. The most common refractive error found in refractive amblyopia patients was astigmatism for it is more amblyogenic than the other refractive errors, and most of the patients who were above 8 years old represent the lack of screening and awareness about amblyopia. This research suggested for amblyopia screening to be done and people to check their vision as early as possible in order to detect and manage amblyopia at the earliest. Djamil Padang tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deksriptif retrospektif dengan menggunakan rekam medis. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien ambliopia refraktif di Poli Mata RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang tahun 2017 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 54 pasien. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pasien ambliopia lebih sering ditemukan pada kelompok usia >8 tahun (59,2%) dan jenis kelamin laki-laki (55,6%). Ambliopia isoametropik merupakan jenis ambliopia yang lebih sering ditemukan (59,2%) dibandingkan dengan ambliopia isoametropik. Astigmatisme kelompok 2.00-<3.00 D (46,8%) merupakan kelainan refraksi pada ambliopia isoametropik yang paling sering ditemukan.
