After two following years of weakening (by 2.6 and 4.1% in 2015 and 2016 respectively), the World Bank estimates that international remittances to low- and middle-income countries have increased by 8.5 percent in 2017, reaching USD 466 billion (Ratha et al., 2018). This paper focuses on the second approach by treating the impact of remittances to the economic growth.
