Penelitian ini membahas elemen ‘unik’ dalam sastra dan ginokritik sebagai identitas kepenulisan Gillian Flynn yang terdapat pada dua novel berjudul Dark Places (2009) dan Gone Girl (2012). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam upaya untuk mengkritisi karya sastra perempuan dalam kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan sastra kanon perempuan. Konsep Ginokritik dari Elaine Showalter digunakan sebagai teori utama dalam penelitian ini. Selain itu, konsep antihero juga diaplikasikan untuk mendukung analisis utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter perempuan utama; Amy Dunne pada Gone Girl dan Libby Day pada Dark Places dapat digolongkan sebagai antiheroine.
