Uso de microorganismos eficientes (M.E) en pollinaza para disminuir los niveles de amoniaco (NH3) en granjas avícolas comerciales de Sincelejo, Colombia

In Colombia the poultry farming is one of the more dynamic food sectors, whose main advantage is the short period that the chickens need to fulfill their fattening cycle, additionally it can be given in large quantities. Each chicken produces excrement equivalent to 0,07 pounds/day and dispose in their bed of 0,230 pounds of clean fuzz, which constitute the poultry residue (RAV), composed of dung with fuzz defined as chicken manure. From the nitrogenous fraction of the excrement through microbial activity, it is produced the ammonia, a colorless and irritant gas whit negative impact in the performance and the health of the birds, which deteriorates the immunological system with the consequent presence of respiratory diseases and the reductions of the growing rates, which are very difficult to recover. In order to reduce the ammonia levels generated, a study was carried out that consisted in the application of Efficient Microorganisms (M.E) in the chicken manure, for which three treatments were performed, identifies as treatment 1, 2 and 3, with application frequencies of 1, 3 and 7 days, respectively, using 250 animals in each of them and leaving a lot with an equal number of animals without treatment. The study showed significant differences (P>0.05) between the treatments 1 with 3, 1 with 4, 2 with 4 and 3 with 4, being more effective the treatment 1 (Application in bed of E.M with frequency of diary inoculation), which suggests the effectiveness of the E.M for their decrease.En Colombia la avicultura es uno de los sectores alimenticios más dinámicos, cuya ventaja principal es el corto periodo que los pollos necesitan para cumplir su ciclo de engorde, además se puede dar en grandes cantidades. Cada pollo produce deyecciones equivalentes a 0,07 kg/día y dispone en su cama de 0,230 kg de tamo limpio, lo que constituye el residuo avícola (RAV), compuesto de bosta con tamo, definido como pollinaza. A partir de la fracción nitrogenada de las deyecciones por medio de la actividad microbiana, se produce el amoníaco, gas incoloro e irritante con impacto negativo en el rendimiento y en la salud de las aves, que deteriora el sistema inmunológico con la consecuente presencia de enfermedades respiratorias y la reducción de las tasas de crecimiento, las cuales muy difícilmente se recuperan. Buscando disminuir los niveles de amoníaco generados, se realizó un estudio consistente en la aplicación de Microorganismos Eficientes (M.E) en la pollinaza, para lo cual se realizaron tres tratamientos, identificados como tratamiento 1, 2 y 3, con frecuencias de aplicación de 1, 3 y 7 días, respectivamente, utilizando 250 animales en cada uno de ellos y dejando un lote con igual número de animales, sin tratamiento. Se encontraron diferencias significativas (P>0.05) entre los tratamientos 1 con 3, 1 con 4, 2 con 4 y 3 con 4, siendo más efectivo el tratamiento 1 (Aplicación en cama de M.E con frecuencia de inoculación diaria), lo cual sugiere la efectividad de los M.E para su disminución
