Culture is often seen as country-specifi c but extends beyond geopolitical borders. The instructional language of playground games and the engaging play used in many games adds to EFL learners cultural and linguistic understanding of others. With little or no specialized equipment required, a sense of fair play and collaboration, improvisation and leadership skills make playground games from all over the world a shared bank of activities from where we should all contribute and draw.
