Multimedia Storytelling: Producing a Web Series

This Multimedia Storytelling class intends to create three different web series\u27 that exemplify the theory of think, feel, do. Stemming from the effect-to-cause model, this theory follows the process of focusing on the desired communication effect on the target audience before production even begins. This creates a process message, giving meaning to what the viewers see and an action to engage upon. The production students utilize the skillset of every team member to build an efficient skeleton crew. These five-person teams in effect create webisodes that are normally produced by larger crews. Multimedia Storytelling is a co-curricular course that partners with Georgia College\u27s Acting for Film class. The use of YouTube gives these teams a global platform to debut their work. They also engage the community by incorporating sponsors from local businesses. The challenges that the class\u27s productions face include effectively engaging the audience and efficiently creating a quality web series
