This research project examines the relationship between gender and funding in the medical category of crowdfunding. The study will investigate which appeals are most effective for influencing each gender as well as which gender gives the most regarding financial donation. This study will be conducted using the method of content analysis of the medical categories for the following crowdfunding sites: GoFundMe, IndiegogoLife, and YouCaring. The study will be looking at a random sample made up of 395 cases from the three crowdfunding sites previously stated. The results will determine if there is a significance between gender and funding for medical cases as well as what appeals work best for obtaining donations from each gender
