The First Spring, Carlsbad Cavern

  • Leck, Jay

Abstract

Printed text from the back of the postcard: "The Devil's Spring is the first point of interest one meets when touring the Carlsbad Cavern, as it is located a short way back from the main entrance, and is an excellent illustration of how columns are formed by the drip of lime-water from the roof. While there are many springs throughout the Carlsbad Cavern the moisture of the air is such that visitors seldom get thirsty.
