The importance and results of the human dimension of the University of Zaragoza Library Education Programme is presented. The axis of the plan is providing a course on Information Management for each of first term of the undergraduate programmes of the University.It is shown that these activities can be well adopted by the library staff and that they have positive consequences for the librarians: better interaction and communication among the staff of the different faculty and campus libraries; improved feeling of pertenence to a common project; enhanced professional capabilities; better professional self-esteem; a virtual and physical approachment to the users and an improved knowledge of their needs and interests.
