Generally speaking, the term \u27theory of conservatism\u27 is a paradox, for conservatism, in nature, rejects theorization. In fact, conservatism makes itself clear on the level of responces to various political situations rather than on the level of theory and it is difficult to find the linear development of theory in the history of conservatism. In this paper, I argue the paradox. First, I put light on some features of the thought of conservatism. Second, I investigate the notion of \u27conservatism as a way of thinking\u27, which is deduced from that argument.
