The research question explored asks how can an effective literacy coaching framework be established at the secondary level to promote a culture of adult learning? The motivating factor for this work was to determine what key elements are necessary for a secondary literacy coach to be successful in providing ongoing professional development. This capstone draws upon current research in the area of literacy coaching and includes authors such as Casey, Toll, Vogt and Shearer, and Walpole and McKenna.
