The research question addressed in this project was, how can asynchronous collaboration tools be used to create a greater sense of community in the virtual classroom? It documents one teacher\u27s effort to utilize online tools to create student-generated tutorials and share that work with other students. The author used Moodle forums and a modified Rovai\u27s Classroom Community Scale to assess the student\u27s sense of community in the virtual classroom. The author documents the details of the tutorial creation process and uses related research literature to shape that process and validate the study.
