The research question addressed in this action research project was, will providing early childhood educators with daily, specific sensory techniques for children exhibiting signs of decreased sensory modulation affect the children positively? The author based this study on the fact that little definitive research has been done for this population although sensory integration is commonly used in the early childhood special education area. The study provided children with specific sensory activities for a six week period and showed that although there was a subjective feeling that the sensory activities worked, no definitive objective data could be found to support this. This result is similar to the summary of the literature reviewed
