How can sensory techniques designed for children with autism benefit all kindergarten students?

This capstone examines research on how the sensory systems affect academic and social development. It explains each of the systems (vestibular, proprioceptive, tactile, visual, auditory, olfactory and gustatory) in terms that would be helpful to a classroom teacher. Many of the activities are used with children who have autism or sensory integration dysfunction, but they are also helpful for all kindergartners as they develop healthy sensory systems.
