It has been documented that a strong correlation exists between the improvement of reading and math skills when science is integrated into the curriculum. This observation is particularly pronounced, when students are introduced to scientific concepts by integrating children\u27s scientific trade books. This study examines the impact of children\u27s interest and attitudes towards science by reading science trade books to first and fourth grade students. This investigation reinforces the importance of reading science trade books in an elementary classroom to support science comprehension and instruction.
