The research question addressed in this capstone is, what is an efficient and effective way to teach social skills in an urban Kindergarten classroom? It documents the author\u27s experience teaching social skills and examines what social and emotional skills students should be learning in Kindergarten. It explores the best practices for teaching social skills in schools and analyzes these practices within existing social skills curricula. The author describes the four components of the Kindergarten social skills curriculum she designed that incorporate these best practices
