The research question addressed in this project was, in what ways does freeplay and movement positively impact learning in the K-3 classroom? To answer this question the researcher aggregated expert input on how movement and freeplay impact children ages five through eight. The researcher utilized modern publications like Chip Wood\u27s Yardsticks (2007), as well as the classic work of Piaget (1962), among others to explore the topics of movement and freeplay. This research was then collected and categorized along with research that provides insight around how school administrators think about movement and freeplay.
