The research question addressed in this project was: what activities and strategies can be incorporated into the unit on drama and Shakespeare\u27s Romeo and Juliet, so that students will find meaning and continue to improve their English skills? It documents one teacher\u27s creation of an eight-week unit for an ESL class that provides varied activities, adaptations, and novel connections based on the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Model. The author documents the details of the unit and uses researched-based methodology to validate the activities in the unit.
