This project helps to answer the question What strategies do mainstream teachers need to know in order to meet the needs of their ESL students? The information to answer this question was obtained through administering a survey to the staff of a school to determine their familiarity with a variety of strategies. The results were compiled to establish what the staff knows and wants to know more about when working with ESL students. A staff development workshop was created based on the needs of the staff, using information that participants expressed interest in learning more about and strategies that were unfamiliar
