The benefits and challenges of an online professional development program for teachers of adult ESL learners on implementing and integrating computer technology into classroom instruction

This capstone focuses on two important elements: The value to adult ESL learners of being comfortable and familiar with computer technology and the value to teachers of having an online, long-term, supportive training on implementing and integrating computer technology. It describes one teacher\u27s experience in creating and leading a four-week online discussion and training on computer technology. The advantages to having the training online are that time and space are no longer a barrier to accessing information. Teachers have the option to participate anywhere and at any time as long as they have access to a computer and the Internet. The results of this project were very positive and supportive toward future programs of this sort
