International student populations are rising on boarding school campuses all across North America. Boarding schools, typically with few faculty members and small budgets, are struggling to provide adequate academic, social, and emotional support for their international students. Through surveys and focus group interviews with students, parents, and faculty members, this work looks at one boarding school’s experiences amidst the work that other schools are doing. Along with shifting the attitudes of faculty and students to accept and celebrate international students, this study concludes that programmatic and admissions changes can serve this growing demographic
