This study analyze the novel entitled Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. In the novel tells about a woman who is addicted to shopping. This study is written by focusing on two questions: (1) How is consumerism portrayed on Beckys character? And (2) How does the fashion brands affect on women’s identity construction depicted in Beckys consumerism?. To analyze those questions, this study using the concept of consumerism and three other theories, such as Marxist Feminist, ChickLit theory as the genre of the novel, and Postfeminism theory.
