The disappearance of politics is a phenomenon that (not only) the Czech Republic must deal with at present. This article examines this phenomenon in depth and places it in a long-term perspective. The argumentation is based primarily on the polysemous term depoliticization. Part of the text is devoted to one specific form of depoliticization the Czech way – the expertization of politics. In this respect, the emergence and the mode of functioning of the ANO 2011 Movement can be regarded as an illustrative example of the current trends in the Czech Republic
