The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of studies and texts published in relevant Czech political science journals, while highlighting the institutional and personal background of the various published material. In this way, the authors strive to identify sets of variables that assist in constituting (self-)images of the Czech political science – namely, the relevance of various institutions in terms of the publication efforts of their members, topical preferences of top Czech political scientists providing a major part of the general publication output, and institutional and topical biases of relevant Czech political science journals.
