MANFAAT PENYULUHAN TENTANG KB TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN PADA PASANGAN USIA SUBUR (PUS) TENTANG PEMASANGAN KB

Based on the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) West Sumatra province in 2009, the number of fertile age couples (PUS) in the province of West Sumatra recorded as many as 784,819 people. The number of active family planning acceptors in West Sumatera province was 140,369 people, with 67,970 injections of FP participants, KB 26,470 people, KB implant 17,049 people, KB IUD 6.642 people, KB condom 21,023 people, KB MOW 1,023 people and KB MOP 184 people BKKBN, 2015) .The Objective is to Know the Benefits of Extension About KB on Improving Knowledge on Elderly Age Couple (PUS) on Family Planning Installation in JorongRawangKelurahanPasirTalang Selatan Village Working Area of ​​Puskesmas Sungai Pagu Regency. South Solok Year 2017 ". This research method used Quasi Experiment Resert method with One group pretest - posttest disign approach design, then data is processed by using paired test. A sample of 68 respondents. The result of statistical test obtained p value 0,000 means the existence of counseling benefit about family planning to increase knowledge at couple age age (PUS) about family planning in area working area Puskesmas X in 2017. The conclusion of this research is that there is an increase of knowledge before and after given health counseling. It is recommended for health workers to make more leaflets, brochures related to family planning so that fertile ages can be considered in using contraceptive
