FORMULATION AND MAKING OF GINGER OIL LINIMENT (OleumZingiberis) AND LEMONGRASS OIL (OleumCitronelae)Liliniment is The pharmaceutical preparations commonly used by the community in order to reduce the pain, cold, and warmth of the body. The study was conducted to see the effect of different liniment formula on the sensation of comfort felt by the panelists by making liniment with 4 formulas, namely ginger oil 25% (F1), citronella oil 25% (F2), ginger oil 12,5% and citronella oil 12.5% (F3) and methyl salicylate 25% (F0) respectively as positive controls using the National Formulary standard formula.The results of the organoleptictest, homogeneity test, pH, displaced volume, viscosity, and stability test produced by each formula were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while the panelists sensed the comfort sensation for all liniment formulas using the visual analog scale (VAS) method and then non parametric statistical analysis, Friedman Test. The research hypothesis is that all four liniment formulas provide the same quality of comfort sensation.Organoleptic test results of liniment each formula; F0 is light yellow, typical gandapurasmell, and watery texture, yellow F1, distinctive smell of ginger, and watery texture, light yellow F2, lemongrass distinctive smell, and watery texture, yellow F3, lemongrass distinctive smell, and runny texture. The pH value of all formulas does not meet the requirements. The homogeneity of all formulas meets the requirements. Moved volumes that meet the requirements are F0 and F3. Viscosity that meets the requirements is F0, F2, and F3. The stability of all formulas meets the requirements. The formula that has the highest sense of comfort is F0 (control). Keywords: Liniment, Gungeroil, Lemongrassoil, National formulary Obat gosok adalah sediaan farmasi yang lazim digunakan oleh masyarakat dalam rangka swamedikasi meringankan nyeri, masuk angin, dan penghangat tubuh. Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh perbedaan formula obat gosok terhadap sensasi rasa nyaman yang dirasakan panelis dengan cara membuat obat gosok dengan 4 formula yaitu minyak jahe 25% (F1), minyak sereh25% (F2), minyak jahe12,5% dan minyak sereh12,5% (F3) serta metil salisilat 25% (F0) sebagai kontrol positif menggunakan formula standar dari Formularium Nasional. Hasil uji sifatfisik (organoleptis), uji homogenitas, pH, volume terpindahkan, viskositas, dan uji stabilitas yang dihasilkan masing-masing formula dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif, sedangkan uji sensasi rasa nyaman yang dirasakan panelis terhadap seluruh formula obat gosok menggunakan metode visual analog scale (VAS) kemudian dilakukan analisis statistik non parametric yaitu Uji Friedman. Hipotesis penelitian yaitu keempat formula obat gosok memberikan kualitas sensasi rasa nyaman yang sama. Hasil uji organoleptik masing-masing formula; F0 warna kuning muda, bau khas gandapura, dan tekstur encer, F1 warna kuning, bau khas jahe, dan tekstur encer, F2 warna kuning muda, bau khas sereh, dan tekstur encer, F3 warna kuning, bau khas sereh, dan tekstur encer. Nilai pH seluruh formula tidak memenuhi persyaratan. Homogenitas seluruh formula memenuhi persyaratan. Volume terpindahkan yang memenuhi persyaratan adalah F0 dan F3. Viskositas yang memenuhi persyaratan adalah F0, F2, dan F3. Stabilitas seluruh formula memenuhi persyaratan.
