La construcción de la identidad en la infancia y su relación con la música. Un acercamiento a través del análisis cualitativo de los MEDIA

One of the great achievements of education in the XX century has been to bring into sharp focus the presence of the subject and its relationship with the context. From this perspective we have developed great educational theories such as post-structuralism, those derived from cognitive psychology, cultural studies and critical pedagogy. Simultaneously, communication studies, with a similar aim, have been interested in complex contexts through discourse analysis, foundation theory and others which have in common the explanation of differencial aspects and their relations with meaning and significance (Ballon; Campodónico, 1990)). The text is placed at this intersection studying qualitative analysis through which music contents are affecting the social construction of the child's consciousness (Hargreaves and North, 1999; Vygotsky, 1995). The paper reviews the music of film and television and its relationship with the listener, indicators and methodological approach. The findings may be of interest to give visibility to music education in the context of the social sciences, education, heritage defence and identity. All of which are considered a construction currently mediated by major mass media.La educación en el S. XX ha tenido entre sus grandes logros destacar de forma nítida la presencia del sujeto y su relación con el contexto. Desde esta perspectiva se han desarrollado las grandes aportaciones y teorías educativas como las post estructuralistas, las derivadas de la psicología cognitiva, los estudios interculturales y la pedagogía crítica. De forma paralela, los estudios sobre la comunicación, con una intención similar, se han interesado por los contextos complejos a través del análisis del discurso, la teoría fundamentada y otros que tienen en común explicar aspectos diferenciales y sus relaciones con el sentido y el significado (Ballon y Campodónico, 1990). El texto se sitúa en esta intersección, estudiando por medio del análisis cualitativo cuales son los contenidos musicales que afectan a la construcción social de la conciencia del niño (Hargreaves; North, 1999; Vigotsky, 1995). Para ello revisa la música del cine y la televisión y su relación con la escucha, sus indicadores y acercamiento metodológico. Las conclusiones pueden ser de interés para dar visibilidad a la educación musical en el contexto de las ciencias sociales, la educación, la defensa del patrimonio y la identidad. Todos ellos considerados como una construcción mediada actualmente por la oferta de los grandes medios de comunicación de masas
