Discussing the subject problem, this essay mainly deals with D. H. Lawrence\u27s "Indians and Entertainment" in Mornings in Mexico, Etruscan Places and Apocalypse. Though, of course, it discusses Lawrence\u27s insight into the Etruscan culture and the Indian culture themselves, it also discusses his attitude towards cultures different from western culture and what is in him to respond strongly to them. Showing sympathy towards the Etruscan and Indian cultures which are apt to be looked upon as inferior to the western with respect to the intellectual or scientific point of view, Lawrence warned us against lapsing into sentimentalism in approaching them.
