Infection is a disease that can be caused by the presence of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. The results of previous research showed that the ethanol extract of matoa’s stem bark has antibacterial potency. Thus, the use of such plant can be applied to liquid soap preparations as a way to protect the skin from bacterial infections. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the liquid soap of matoa’s stem bark and to know the effective concentration in inhibiting the growth of S. aureus and E. coli.
