From past numerous years lightweight materials like magnesium are upgrading their use in a few applications and enterprises. This rising need of magnesium moves numerous scientists to take in its utilization in various practices. In the present paper, the statistical investigation on surface roughness of magnesium alloy (AZ91) metal matrix composites using Taguchi technique has been reported. The composites reinforced with SiC of average size 37 µm were processed by stir casting route.
