Raymond Blaine Fosdick was President of the Rockefeller Foundation from 1936 to 1948. Prior to his presidency, he had been active for 25 years in the foundation’s philanthropic activities. He served Woodrow Wilson in several capacities, including Special Representative to the War Department in France and as a civilian aide to General Pershing during the Paris Peace Conference.
