An efficient prediction-based lossless compression scheme is proposed in this paper.The lossless coding[7] process is a simple predictive coding model called differential pulse code modulation (DPCM). The new model wherein predictions of the sample values are anticipated from the neighboring samples which are already coded in the picture. In LOCO-I algorithm [1], primitive side detection of horizontal or vertical edges by means of examining the neighboring pixels. The coding results shows that various compression ratio obtained by different coding algorithms
