With the increased demand for electricity the penetration of distributed generation (DGs) into distribution network has increased. The efficient operation of the distribution system after the interconnection is highly dependent on optimum location and sizing of distributed generation units. While planning the integration the uncertainty associated with the generation from the DG sources should also be considered. With the advancement in power-electronics-based converters, the voltage/current control issues could be effectively solved using the DG units.
