This investigation was a correlational study, using multiple regression and inferential statistics. It was aimed at identifying the predictors of success shared by student nurses who successfully completed the Tennessee State University nursing program and passed the HESI comprehensive exit examination by the third attempt. This study revealed statistically significant support for the use of NET Reading composite scores, grades in Anatomy and Physiology I, and admission GPA as predictors of student success on the HESI comprehensive nursing exit examination. Use of the NET Math composite, Life Stressors scores, Learning Style, and Social Interaction scores were not supported as predictors of student success on the HESI comprehensive nursing ...
