The Servant of 2 Masters Program

Written by Carlo Goldoni Directed by Wil Kilroy This production was entered in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) XXXIX. From the program: Pantalone of Venice arranged for his daughter Clarice to marry Federigo Rasponi of Turin, but hearing of his demise has now allowed Clarice to become betrothed to Silvio, son of his friend Madame Lombardi. Federigo Rasponi did not want his sister, Beatrice, to marry Florinda Aretusi and indeed was killed fighting him, causing Florinda to flee Turin and head to Venice. Meanwhile, Beatrice decides to find her lover Florinda, but feels she\u27ll have better luck dressed as a man, which will also allow her access to the money Pantalone owes her deceased brother Federigo. Add in Smeraldina, the maid to Clarice, Truffaldino, a servant from Bergamot that Beatrice finds along the way, and his imaginary friend Pasqual, Brigella the local inn-keeper and a few porters and waiters and the games begin!https://digitalcommons.usm.maine.edu/theatre-programs-2006-2007/1001/thumbnail.jp
