SERVING THE CAUSE Although Hanson frequently stated his intention to refer the documents to the full board for adoption as College policy, for some reason he delayed doing so. The only career process document which did gain both faculty and trustee sanction at this time was one dealing with dismissal of tenured faculty for cause, which the faculty approved in 1965 and the board in 1966. Proposed revisions of some of these documents did begin to come before the faculty as early as 1968.
