Every catalogue, including the one published early in 1926, featured a descriptive paragraph identical with the one which appeared in 1904 and which claimed that the collection was "freely used in instruction." Every catalogue identified Professor Breidenbaugh as its curator. Presumably the only reason this misinformation disappeared from the 1927 catalogue was because Breidenbaugh died in 1926.
