This thesis traces the prominence of conspiracy theorizing and paranoia in American culture by examining the issues from a variety of angles and then focusing on the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as the primary case study. Through a critical analysis of the development of conspiratorination\u27s al inclinations in the United States, the thesis argues that our nation\u27s complacency with such behavior has made paranoia a defining aspect of American political culture. The thesis addresses how this came to be, as well as the general concepts of conspiracy and paranoia in three major ways
