This large stem bowl consists of a wide open mouth and a tall concave foot. Its exterior is covered with a sapphire glaze. Its interior and the tall concave foot are glazed in white. The bottom ring of the foot is unglazed, exposing the smooth white body. On the bottom of the foot there is a reign mark "da qing yong zheng nian zhi" in underglaze blue, seal script and three columns. The writing style of the 'qing' character seems slightly different from the extant dated Yongzheng objects. However, this stem bowl appears almost identical in shape and size to a dated Yongzheng red-glazed stem bowl (p.203, from Li Zongyang's book titled zhongguo mingqing ciqi mulu ).
