Today, in an internationalizing society, the newspaper is one of the most important mass-media for people to get news and information of abroad. In the case of Tokushima, the Tokushima Shimbun plays an important role with its relatively high subscription rate of the local people. Through the analysis of quantity of foreign reports, we can recognize an imbalance of source regions and topics. Not many cultural reports of various parts of the world are reported by the newspaper.
