This paper is concerned with the formal model of feature organization, currently called "feature geometry", particularly with regard to the treatment given to the manner features. Research in indegenous languages (Macro-Jê) of Brazil have shown close relations between the features [voiced], [nasal] and [sonorant] phonological processes, and a treatment of these processes with the more recent "feature geometry" configurations points to the existence of problems in these "geometries" with regard to such features
