Introduction: Stress and psychosomatic illnesses are more frequent nowadays and affect health and job performance. Objective: To determine prevalence of Burnout syndrome and associated factors in physicians from a private health services provider institution in Cartagena. Methodology: A crosssectional analytical study was conducted. Sample was constituted by 112 physicians from the private health services provider institution. For data collection, a socio-demographic survey and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) of Maslach and Jackson were applied.
