Gases from gasification processes mostly contain H2S, which is a very corrosive and poisonous gas, causes serious problems in applications where they are used. Thus, in many cases it is necessary to reduce the H2S concentration in these gases from percent to ppm level. For example, the allowable H2S concentration for the combine cycle power plants is 20-100 ppm while it is required to be lower than 1 ppm for the fuel cell systems.
