Bienes primarios, igualdad de oportunidades e igualdad de recursos

The liberal equalitarian theories of justice give to the equal concern a central importance. When they consider which good should be primarily allocated, they are confronted with a plurality of objects. The implications and aims of these theories depend on their definition of the nature of the resource they privilege. This will be demonstrated by an analysis of the Rawlsian theory of primary goods, of the equality of resources theory and of the equality of opportunities theory. This analysis shows that it is not possible, as the equality of resources approach thought, to give up the dimension of welfare in the evaluation of individual situations. Equity does not only consist in equalizing the initial resources distribution but also consist in considering the final distribution of individual results -and therefore the distribution of welfare- the agents end up with.Las teorías liberales igualitarias de la justicia, las cuales otorgan a la igual solicitud una importancia crucial, afrontan un buen número de cuestiones cuando consideran qué bienes deberían ser distribuidos prioritariamente. Las implicaciones y perspectivas de estas teorías dependen de su definición del tipo de recurso que privilegien, tal y como veremos mediante un análisis de la teoría rawlsiana de los bienes primarios, de la teoría de la igualdad de recursos y de la teoría de la igualdad de oportunidades. Este análisis mostrará que no es posible descartar la dimensión del bienestar en la evaluación de las situaciones individuales, tal y como han pensado las concepciones igualitarias de los recursos. La igualdad no consiste sólo en igualar los recursos iniciales, sino también en considerar la distribución final de los resultados individuales -y, en consecuencia, del bienestar- alcanzados por los agentes
