According to the author of this paper there are two kinds of Attic in the basic language used by Aristophanes. One of them is a traditional one and agrees with the data we find in the early Attic inscriptions. The other one is a more regulated kind of Attic in which Ionic influence can be detected. This more standardized Attic is to be considered as the origin of Hellenistic Greek. Further considerations are made concerning the colloquial level of the Aristophanic language. No disponible
