Cu/ZnO catalysts with different substrates and promoters were synthesized, characterized and tested for activities in screening tests to determine a good candidate for large scale durability testing. The activities of the catalysts were compared to each other and a baseline catalyst which was previously synthesized and tested with promising results. The activity for the different substrates tested was lower than the baseline. The different promoters tested showed either a decrease (Co promoter), increase (Mn promoter) or no change (Mo promoter) in activity compared to the baseline. Mn and Mo promoted catalyst are both suitable for the durability test but the Mn promoted catalyst is more attractive because higher activity at lower temperatur...
