WORKERS\u27 COMPENSATION. INCREASED BENEFITS FOR INJURED WORKERS. INITIATIVE STATUTE. For job-related injuries occurring on or after January 1, 2003: Increases employer-paid maximum weekly benefits, calculated at two-thirds of employee\u27s wage, from current limit of $490 per week to not less than $651 while employee is temporarily unable to work; increases maximum permanent partial disability benefits from $230 to not less than $434 per week; increases death benefits payable under workers\u27 compensation law. Future benefit increases to be based on increases in statewide wage level, as defined.
