The spread of computer network that have intelligent stations, for example, mini computer, and personal computer, etc enhances the value of LAN network more and more in connection with the effective utilization of computer resource and the practical use of dispersed process form. Especially, LAN network is expected that the network is applicable to the use\u27s intimate needs whitin a limited geographycal area as a office building, a factory, and a university area with a cheap costs. In order to operate a LAN as a communication network, we must provide a communication rules which is called as protocol. Many protocal for LAN have been proposed in these days. CSMA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access) protocol is the representation among them. Herein, P-Persistent CSMA protocol is considerd the most efficient one be cause of its high throughput channel traffic performance. In this paper, we proposed the efficient CSMA protocol termed as Virtual Time CSMA protocol comparing with P-Persistent CSMA protocol and the improvement of ch-annel performance was presented about 10%
