Charles J. King, DMD, joined the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) in 1967 as a professor and chairman of the Department of Crown and Bridge Dentistry. He begins his interview discussing his background, including his education and career prior to joining CDM. He then discusses a variety of topics including the first graduating class, Colcock Hall, construction of the new dental school building, and his teaching experiences. Dr. King also discusses his relationships with other CDM faculty and describes their teaching styles. He recalls working for Dean John Buhler and his successors, including Drs.
